United Nude presents its latest collaboration project between its founder Rem D. Koolhaas and artist and photographer, Charlie Koolhaas.

In the Koolhaas cousins' latest project, they have created a limited edition collection that combines documentary photographs of urban landscapes from various cities with a thigh-high heeled boot.

This project is a continuation of Charlie's experimentation with turning her photographs of globalized metropolises into fashion objects. The photographs, taken from her recent book, CITY LUST, document settings of everyday life, for example, a recycling facility in Lagos or a bucket of scorpions sold in a market in China. 

As the streets and surfaces of these often overlooked spaces are applied as fabrics, textures and colors, they become beautiful and surreal objects that invite us to think critically about beauty and fashion's relationship to the real world. 

Charlie Koolhaas is an interdisciplinary artist and has exhibited her work in solo exhibitions at the Venice Biennale, the Architectural Association in London, the Shenzhen Biennale, Koko Gallery in Tokyo and Kunstinstituut Melly in Rotterdam. She has authored various books that tell sociological stories by merging her images and writing into unified narratives. In 2020 she released her book,  CITY LUST (named in Wallpaper Magazine's roster of best art books), which combines writing and photography to take the viewer on a journey through the global economy.
